MOCKROTZ was a Punk Rock Band from Dresden, East Germany that started during DDR times and rehearsed in a stinking moldy cellar vault in Mockritz until 1997. With almost no connection to the local punk scene the 4 men in their thirties developed their very own distinctive raw but catchy style of rock n roll incorporating saxophone and mandolin combined with sarcastic socially critical lyrics.
